About our CanSat
A CanSat is a simulation of a real satellite, integrated into the volume and shape of a soda can.
The challenge is to fit all the major subsystems found on a satellite, such as power, sensors and a communication system, into this minimal volume.
Primary mission: Measure, after launch and during the descent, the air temperature and pressure and transmit these from thetelemetry data to the ground station at least once per second.
Secondary mission: Produce a Digital Surface Model (MDS) of the CanSat landing area. This is done using two Arducam-Mini-5MP-Plus cameras that capture pairs of superimposed images during the fall. When using stereoscopy, the MDS can be produced using the softwareArcGIS Drone2Map.
